Its initiator, Ori Elan, identified this need in his father who required continuous daily therapy. While both observing and taking an active part in his father’s treatment, he developed the concept of replacing some of the therapy by a mechanical device. A presentation of the concept and the first proto-type of the device won an enthusiastic response from professionals and resulted in the founding of the company and the formation of a multi-disciplinary development team.
The company’s flagship product was registered as a patent in 1998, and in 2002 was registered with the FDA (The USA Federal Drugs Administration). Marketing in Israel began at the end of 2002 and during 2003 Backlife will be launched in additional markets in Europe, Japan, Korea and N. America. The company will continue to design and develop professional devices and accessories.
Its development was achieved by the combined inputs of professional teams, including some of the most senior orthopedic, physiotherapist and back treatment practitioners in Israel and the world and is considered a breakthrough in the field of back pain therapy. |
